About the course
Typesetting formula-heavy text in ordinary software is slow and non-standard. LaTeX is the academic tool for the job, letting you produce lab reports, problem sets and papers with a fully scientific, structured look.
This course is project-based: you start from an empty document and finish with a complete scientific document — bilingual text, equations, tables, figures and a bibliography.

How LaTeX processes documents, basic document structure, mathematical typesetting (amsmath) and Persian typesetting with xepersian.
2Tables, Plots & Figures1 Sep
Formatting quantities and units, scientific tables (booktabs), plotting data with pgfplots and managing figures.
3References & Layout3 Sep
Cross-referencing, bibliography management (.bib and biblatex) and page layout (headers, footers and page geometry).
